I Built a Platform. People Still Want Me.
I’ve built a platform, created content, answered DMs. Here’s what comes next.
Hey friends,
Over the past 15 months, I’ve been creating content to help Pakistani students navigate the confusing, expensive, and often exploitative world of U.S. grad school admissions.
It started because when I started my Master’s degree at Northeastern University in 2022, I saw how few Pakistani students were in the U.S., and how hard it was for those back home to even imagine this path — let alone access it.

The only real “support” most students have is education consultants — many of whom charge $2,000–$10,000 and don’t have your best interests at heart. Most of them earn commissions from universities ($1K–$3K per student), so their goal isn’t to help you find the best-fit school — it’s to send you to the one that pays them most.
No wonder so many students feel scammed or misled.

Wow! That’s a lot of money without even giving any value
Worse, these consultants rarely talk about what really matters: career outcomes.
They’ll help you fill out a form, but they won’t tell you how to find internships, build a network, or break into competitive fields after graduation.
So I started creating all sorts of content.
Webinars. Reels. Q&As. Street interviews. I wanted a younger version of me to watch a clip and feel like, “Damn, if that guy made it, maybe I can too.”

Since then, I’ve launched dreambridge.ai — a platform that uses AI to recommend universities, scholarships, and prep resources. And while the response has been amazing, I still get dozens of DMs each week asking:
“How much do you charge for consultation?”
The polite answer has always been: I don’t.
Not because I don’t want to help. But because 1-on-1 consulting (if done honestly) is a high-touch, emotionally draining business. Students ask big questions — which deserve thoughtful answers — but many of the basics are already in the content I’ve shared or are just a Google search away.
Also, if I were to price my time based on my job in finance in New York City, I’d probably be more expensive than the consultants I critique.
But lately… I’ve been rethinking this.
Because I’ve seen many of you, even after following my content, still go back to the same shady consultants. And I wonder — what if I could build something better?
What if I could offer structured, community-driven support at a fraction of the cost?
So here’s what I’m thinking:
A private paid community — where my team and I offer:
• 10–15 live sessions/month on every step of the U.S. admissions process
• 8–10 guest speaker sessions with Pakistani professionals in the U.S.
• A 24-hour response time from our team for questions
• A live community feed where students can help each other
• And real guidance on how to maximize career outcomes — not just get into a school
We’re opening applications soon for a limited first cohort starting August 25 — priced at $29/month.
The goal? In 30 days, help you confidently choose the right schools and career paths — without the noise, commissions, or cookie-cutter advice.

Or just reply to this email with a simple: “I’m interested.”
I’ll make sure you’re on the list.
Let’s build something better — together.
🎤 Speaking at Third Mind Talks about Side Hustles
I’ve been lucky to speak at a few events these past few months—but this one hits close to home.
I started my first venture in my 2nd semester of undergrad. Since then:
📍 Sold shawarmas & Afghani burgers
✈️ Failed at a travel startup
🏃♂️ Ran across Pakistan
🤝 Hosted networking events
📹 Created content
🧠 And now, building dreambridge.ai
So yeah—excited to talk about side hustles. I’ve had a few.
